Dawkins, who co-authored “The God Delusion,” will publish a book called “God Is Not Great: A Christian Book on the Nature and Causes of the Atheist Movement,” a book he calls the “ultimate guide to the philosophy of the secular atheist movement.”
(AP Photo/Darren Staples, File) Dawkins, an atheist who founded the non-profit organization The Richard Dawkins Foundation, said he plans to publish “God” as a book and a website, which will feature a summary of the book.
Dawkins has been a vocal atheist and skeptic of the “religion” of Christianity, which he calls “a fraud.”
Dawkins said he wants to share his perspective on religion in the wake of a major U.S. Supreme Court decision last month allowing same-sex marriage in all 50 states.
Dawkins’ book, which was published in October, is scheduled to be released in the spring.
The book will include his commentary on the Supreme Court ruling, which the publisher said was “a milestone in our history.”
Dawkins’ views on religion Dawkins has called atheism “a form of bigotry and a form of discrimination.”
He said he is “absolutely committed to finding a way to understand the universe that is non-violent and non-corrupt.”
He also said the Bible is a work of fiction.
“To pretend that it is any more accurate, accurate, or true than any other text in the world, is simply a denial of our intellectual, moral, and ethical capacities,” Dawkins wrote in his book.
In a blog post, Dawkins called the ruling a “political move” that “has been the most harmful assault on the civil rights of the American people since the Ku Klux Klan’s attack on the Civil Rights Act of 1964.”
Dawkins has long been an outspoken critic of religion.
He has been called the “godfather” of atheism in the United States, and has become one of the leading voices in the “alternative” Christian movement, which includes some who reject the religious teachings of Christianity.
Dawkins said his book, “God: A New Atheism,” will focus on atheism and its discontents.
The publisher of Dawkins books and websites, Richard Dawkins’ Christian publishers outlet and the online publisher of the science-fiction film “The Martian,” say the book will offer a “powerful and provocative look at how science, religion and philosophy interact.”
The book includes Dawkins’ commentary on “The Great Debate,” a debate between him and atheist Carl Sagan, and on the book’s title, which is “God’s Not Great.”
Dawkins previously said in a video on YouTube that he and Sagan are not “friends” and that he has no interest in publishing a book with Sagan.
“It’s not a book about me,” Dawkins said.
Dawkins told the New York Times in September that he “hadn’t really heard the name Carl Sagan before” and “that it was an oxymoron.”
He later clarified that he is not a Sagan fan.
“I think he’s one of those people who thinks, if you’ve got a book you think is interesting, then go and read it,” he said.
“If it’s a book that’s interesting and well researched and you can’t make out what’s going on in his head, that’s not really a good book.
He’s not that kind of person.”
In his book “The Grand Design,” which Dawkins wrote with his friend Richard Dawkins, Dawkins says the Earth is 6,000 years old and that the universe was created about 4.5 billion years ago.
Dawkins believes that life on Earth has evolved from a single cell, not a complex life-form that can evolve, Dawkins said in the video.
“There’s nothing in the Bible that says there are no different species,” he added.
The New Atheists said the book is about atheism and the “discoveries of modern science.”
Dawkins is a longtime critic of the religious beliefs of the majority of Christians, whom he describes as “nihilists.”
He has written several books about atheism, including “The End of Faith: A Defense of the Faith” and the book “No God: Why There Is No God.”
In a 2007 interview with The New York Daily News, Dawkins criticized the beliefs of Christians and other religious groups.
“The religion that they preach is false, and the religion that I preach is correct,” he told the newspaper.
Dawkins also called Christianity “a lie.”
Dawkins told The New Yorker in 2012 that his belief that God created humans in his image “was the first time I really felt like I was on the right track.”
Dawkins wrote the book to explain his views on Christianity and other religions.
