The new publishing platform Brave is looking to open a new publishing hub in Brisbane in the coming months.

“Our current portfolio is very well defined, with a strong focus on the gaming and non-gaming publishing industries, including video games and films, books and music, comics and video games,” Brave’s chief executive officer, Jason Schreier, wrote.
“We have also been working closely with publishers, publishers groups and publishers’ unions to develop a new content publishing platform that will enable us to further grow our existing offerings across the board, while delivering better value for our consumers and the local community.”
The company’s new hub will be dedicated to “games, books or comics”, and focus on “games and books or movies”.
“The goal of this new business is to grow the Brave brand in a sustainable and sustainable way, and it is our intention to expand this existing footprint and continue to grow Brave into the future,” Mr Schreer wrote.
Mr Schreiers memo said the new company would be based “in Brisbane’s iconic CBD” and will be “committed to delivering high quality content to our customers, partners and fans in a responsible and ethical way”.
“We are looking forward to working with our partners in the industry and will provide our new partners with the opportunity to take advantage of the new opportunity we have created,” he added.
Mr Hock, the chief executive of the ABC Television Network, said he was excited about the news.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for the ABC and a great fit for us, with the ABC’s new platform to offer a new platform for Brave,” he said.
“The ABC has been very supportive of Brave’s growth over the years, and the opportunity for us to work with this new company to launch our new content is a great opportunity to grow both the ABC network and the company.”
The ABC confirmed that it would not be publishing new content from Brave in the foreseeable future.
“At this time we are not publishing content from any Brave platform,” it said in a statement.
“As a result, we will not be able to offer any new features, including new feature updates and bug fixes, and we will be reviewing our future publishing plans.”
The publisher’s new publishing initiative is part of a wider shift at the ABC, which has been trying to modernise and diversify its content offerings and expand its digital platforms, and also in a bid to grow its international audience.
The ABC is currently home to an online gaming website, which is currently under development, and a podcast platform called A-Play.
